Mom's Drinking caused Lindsay Lohan's problems says DAD

The father of troubled Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is trying to force her mother to undergo drug testing. Former stockbroker Michael Lohan - who has served two prison sentences for contempt of court, driving without a licence and attempted assault - is asking a court in New York State to order his estranged wife Dina to submit to the tests.
Mr Lohan claims Dina's drinking has contributed to Lindsay's recent troubles - which include her latest spell in rehab after crashing her Mercedes and being arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and possession of cocaine.
He is currently being divorced by Dina, and has said he believes his daughter's problems with alcohol can be traced back to his own past drug use.
He is also battling for visiting rights to see his two younger children, Aliana and Dakota.
Mr Lohan said: "I do not believe Dina should be drinking in front of our daughter.
"If she continues to do this, I guarantee Lindsay will fall apart again."

Lindsay Lohan Turning Things Around on Her Birthday

Lindsay Lohan quietly marked her 21st birthday Monday in rehab. Lohan's mother and siblings were photographed arriving at Los Angeles International Airport over the weekend for what her mother had said would be a family celebration.

Lindsay has a lot to be happy about this birthday. It seems as she is making a successful recovery.

Saturday, with a brand new iPhone in her hand, she stopped by the boutique Planet Blue, where rock music blares and shelves are filled with items for the bedroom, bathroom and clothes closets.

She was seen the day before, on Friday, with friends – a male and a female – looking great and listening to the piano at the Chateau Marmont. The star drank tea, diet coke, and water, according to an observer at the hotspot, who added: "She's turned things around, at least for now."

And last Wednesday night she attended an AA meeting in Santa Monica before meeting pals for dinner at Katsuya in Brentwood – with a stop at Promises in between.

"She came in with a whole bunch of friends, there were like seven of them, and she walked in incognito, super low-key," a fellow diner tells PEOPLE. "They sat down for some sushi and were just really enjoying themselves. She wasn't really noticed at all and was just happy, in a good mood."

Will Lindsay be Going to Jail Like Paris!

Lindsay Lohan was allegedly drunk and had cocaine in her system during an early morning smash-up in Beverly Hills on Memorial Day weekend. According to multiple law enforcement sources, toxicology reports conclude that Lohan, 20, had "nearly twice the legal limit" of alcohol and traces of blow in her bloodstream when she crashed her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible into a curb on Sunset Blvd. around 5:30 AM on May 26. In California, drivers with a .08 or higher are legally drunk. Police tell TMZ Lohan and two other adults were in the car at the time of the accident. After the crash, she was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, then placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI. Cops later said they found a "usable amount" of cocaine in the car.We're told that the Beverly Hills Police Dept. could present the case to the Los Angeles D.A. as early as today.Lohan's lawyer, Blair Berk, told TMZ, "It's highly inappropriate for me to discuss a pending case."

Lindsay to do Promises "Extended Care"

Lindsay Lohan has been "doing great" since she checked into rehab over Memorial Day weekend, her mother says. "I talk to her every day," Dina Lohan told PEOPLE in New York on Monday. "She's going to do Promises' extended care program."

Dina also said she and her family will head west for Lindsay's 21st birthday on July 2. She didn't say where the celebration will be held. Dina Lohan was appearing in Nassau County family court as she awaited a hearing in her ongoing dispute over visitation of her children with ex-husband Michael, who was also in court. "I just want to move on," said Dina, who has an order of protection against Michael. "It takes its toll on myself and the children. It affects all of us."

Custody Battle with Lidsay Lohan's Parents!

The parents of troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan are fighting in a Long Island court over visitation of their younger children.
Estranged father Michael Lohan claimed at a hearing Friday that Dina Lohan failed to make payments as part of their separation agreement.
Michael Lohan's lawyer, John DiMascio, said he plans to file a motion to set aside the agreement and impending divorce by proving Dina Lohan did not live up to the terms. Dina Lohan accused Michael of breaking the rules first, but did not specify how. The two also are arguing in Nassau Family Court whether Michael Lohan has the right to visit their younger children.
They have three other children in addition to Lindsay: Michael, 19; Ali, 13; and Dakota, 10. Lindsay, who turns 21 next month, checked into rehab after a wild Memorial Day weekend during which she crashed her Mercedes-Benz into a curb.

I wonder if it is occured to them that one of the reasons the daughter is in Rehab is her Media seeking mother and her criminal father and their constant public displays. For my money neither of them deserves custody of these children.
